ARTICLE 1 – PURPOSE
The MAJE Company (referred to hereinafter as « MAJE »), a simplified joint stock company with a
capital of 100,000€, registered in the Paris Trade & Companies Register under number 382 544 310,
with registered offices at 24, rue du Mail 75002 Paris, is organizing from December 7
th
to 21
st
, 2012
a casting contest (referred to hereinafter as the “Contest”) which is free with no obligation to buy,
entitled “« MAJED casting by Alexa Chung » accessible solely from the official MAJE Facebook
page (www.facebook.com/maje.officiel).
ARTICLE 2 – CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION 
Contestants participate freely with no obligation to buy.
The Contest is open to all women over 18.
Contestants must have:
● an active account on the www.facebook.comwebsite;
● be a « Fan » of the official MAJE Facebook page (www.facebook.com/maje.officiel) ;
● enter the Contest on the conditions defined in Article 4;
● have a passport which is valid until August 2013 given the nature of the prize to be awarded
(art. 6).
Each contestant is entitled to enter the Contest only once.
All persons who are members of the organizing company and its partners, including their families and
consorts (relatives in the ascending and descending lines, collateral relatives, spouses, cohabitants) are
prohibited from participating in the Contest, either directly or indirectly.
MAJE reserves the right to perform all necessary checks concerning contestants’ identity, postal
address and/or e- mail address.
To validate their entry in the Contest, contestants shall accept the terms of these regulations by
checking the box provided for this purpose.
Any inaccurate or false statements or fraud shall result in the contestant’s disqualification.

In this event, MAJE reserves the right to block access, to deny the prize and/or to legally prosecute
any contestant who has committed, or attempted to commit, fraud. The following are considered as
guilty of fraud, among others
● persons who have entered under a false identity;
● persons who enter a third party;
● persons who enter the Contest more than once.
ARTICLE 3 – RIGHT TO PERSONAL PORTRAYAL AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 
RIGHTS 
3.1 Contestants:when participating in the Contest, each contestant authorizes MAJE to utilize and
exploit her image, by the reproduction and/or representation thereof in the context of the organization
and promotion of the Contest.
The authorization to exploit their image granted by contestants is conferred free of charge. The
winner consequently waives the right to claim of MAJE and of any third party authorized by it
any remuneration or compensation whatsoever for the use of her image or of her copyright on the
conditions defined herein.
3.2 Winners:each winner, by accepting the prize, authorizes MAJE to reproduce, publish, circulate
and utilize in the stores of its network, on all social networks (Facebook, twitter, pinterest, instagram,
maje magazine, web banner etc..), in the press and on any advertising or promotional media, without
limitation, for the purposes of promoting the Contest and the Spring-Summer collection:
● her image,
● the photographs sent in when entering the Contest,
● her first and last names, as well as an indication of her city and country of residence.
The authorization to exploit her image and her copyright granted by the winner is conferred free
of charge. Consequently the winner waives the right to claim any remuneration or compensation
whatsoever from MAJE and any third party authorized by it, for the use of her image or of her
copyright on the conditions defined herein.
3.3The participants undertake to comply with the laws and regulations in force and to respect the
rights of third parties.
In this capacity, each contestant pledges to display fair conduct and in particular to:
● be the sole, unique author of the photographs,
● to refrain from utilizing photographs or elements which might infringe upon the rights of
third parties, in particular copyrights, trademark rights or the right to personal portrayal and
personal privacy.
Each contestant guarantees to hold MAJE harmless from any action or recourse which might be filed
due to the circulation of the photographs in the context of the Contest, in breach of the rights of a third
party.
If a person or company has reasons to believe that a contestant has stolen his (her, its) identity or has
undermined one of his (her, its) rights, he (she, it) shall inform MAJE immediately at the following
address: contact@maje.com, so that it can take the necessary measures.

ARTICLE 4 – TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ENTERING AND COMPETING IN THE 
CONTEST
Contestants can enter the Contest on the official MAJE Facebook page (www.facebook.com/
maje.officiel), using the application form provided for this purpose, between December 7, 2012 and
December 21, 2012 midnight (French time).
To enter the Contest, contestants must:
1°/Fill in the following information on a form provided on line:
● Civil states, first and last names
● date of birth;
● full address : street address, zip code, city, country;
● telephone number
● e-mail address.
2°/Answer the questions asked at the time of entry.
3°/Attach two (2) photographs to the contest entry form:
● one full body photograph ;
● one portrait.
The photographs must meet the following conditions:
● they must have been taken within the last 12 months;
● photographs representing the contestant alone ;
● jpg, gif, jpeg or bmp digital format;
● maximum size: 2 Mo.
Any entry which does not meet the criteria and conditions of acceptance and participation shall
automatically entail the elimination of the contestant concerned.
MAJE reserves the right to eliminate photographs which are contrary to accepted principles of
morality, or which constitute provocation or discrimination, and more generally, which constitute an
incitement to hatred, violence or the committing of certain crimes or offenses.
The registered contestant receives an automatic message of confirmation at the e-mail address
indicated at the time of her registration.
ARTICLE 5 – SELECTION OF THE WINNER AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS
5.1  Selection  of  the  winners: on Thursday, December 27, 2012, the Jury, made up of MAJE
employees and Alexa CHUNG, MAJE muse and the Contest’s ambassadress, shall select three (2)
winners among the official MAJE Facebook page : www.facebook.com/maje.officiel

A third winner will be selected among the MAJE USA Facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/
majeusawithin the same casting contest organized in the United States of America.
Each winner shall be selected on the basis of the following criteria :
● quality, originality and inventiveness of the photographs,
● proximity and coherence of the photographs with the MAJE universe.
Contestants accept unconditionally the choice made by the Jury, which necessarily includes subjective
elements of appreciation.
5.2 Announcement of results:
 
Winners shall be informed personally by e-mail on December 28, 2012.
The winners’ first names and photographs will be published beginning on January 4, 2013 at 3 p.m. on
its official MAJE Facebook page.
The winners will be asked to come to MAJE’s registered offices on January 4, 2013, after the
publication of the results for the distribution of the prizes.
The costs incurred by the winners to travel to MAJE’s registered offices shall be paid by MAJE upon
presentation of vouchers, on the following conditions:
● The costs of transportation (round-trip transportation ticket, costs of gasoline and tolls) are
reimbursed within a limit of 250 € including tax + 50 € including tax for taxi fare.
● The cost of lunch will be reimbursed within a limit of 30 € including tax.
The winners pledge to refrain from disclosing any information on the results of the casting without
MAJE’s prior approval.
ARTICLE 6 –DESCRIPTION OF PRIZE
6.1 Stay and photo shooting in NEW YORK :the winners will win a stay of 3 days and 2 nights in
NEW YORK in order to take part in a filmed photo shooting of the MAJE Spring-Summer collection,
a session which shall be attended by the MAJE muse, Alexa CHUNG, and by a professional
photographer.
For this purpose, the winner must have a passport which is valid until August 2013.
The shooting will take place during the week of January 14, 2013..
MAJE shall pay the costs of:
● round-trip travel between PARIS and NEW-YORK,
● accommodations in New York,
● the costs of restaurants and transportation in New York incurred in the context of the
organization of the photo shooting (1 day).
The winners shall respect the schedule communicated by MAJE for the unfolding of the stay and the
photo shooting. The winners may not be accompanied by persons of their choice.

The photographs taken during the photo shooting, representing the winners wearing the new MAJE
collection, may be circulated in the brand’s catalogue, on the Internet, on the social networks, in the
press and in all other advertising media, which the winners acknowledge and accept unconditionally.
In this capacity, the winners authorize MAJE to exploit their right of personal portrayal on the
conditions defined in Article 3.2 ;
6.2 Gift card :the winners will also receive a « MAJE » gift card of a value of € 2000 (including tax)
valid in all MAJE stores (for 12 months beginning on the date of the remittance of the gift card, and on
the conditions of validity specific to MAJE Company’s gift cards).
ARTICLE 7 – CONDITIONS FOR THE AWARDING OF THE PRIZE
After the results have been announced, if the winner does not come forth within 48 hours following
the personal message sent by MAJE by return e-mail or Facebook, she shall be considered as
disqualified and another winner shall be designated on the same conditions.
The prizes intended for her will then again become MAJE’s property and the disqualified winner may
in no event claim ownership thereof or any compensation or indemnity of any nature whatsoever.
In accepting the prizes, the winner undertakes to
● accept the prize in its entirety (stay abroad and shooting + gift card), such as proposed without
the possibility of exchanging it for cash or other goods or services of any nature whatsoever;
● participate in the photo-shooting;
● respect the schedule communicated by MAJE for the organization and smooth unfolding of
the stay and the photo-shooting;
● refrain from disclosing any information on the shooting and backstage activity without
MAJE’s prior approval.
The prize shall be nominative and individual. It cannot be transferred to a third party free of charge or
against payment.
If a winner does not utilize her prize before the end of the period of validity, she shall not be entitled to
any compensation, indemnification and/or reimbursement from MAJE.
MAJE shall not replace a prize which has been lost or stolen.
MAJE reserves the right to request a copy of the winner’s ID or passport before granting the prize.
ARTICLE 8 – LIMITATION OF MAJE’S LIABILITY
As this Contest takes place exclusively on the Internet, participation implies knowledge and
acceptance of the characteristics and limits of the Internet, in particular as concerns the technical
performances, response time for consulting, questioning or transferring data, the risks of interruption
and more generally speaking, the risks inherent in any connection and transmission on the Internet,
the absence of protection for certain data preventing possible misappropriations and the risks of
contamination by possible viruses circulating on the Internet network.
Consequently, MAJE shall in no event be held responsible for the following, its being understood that
this list is not exhaustive :

● the transmission and/or reception of any data and/or information on the Internet ;
● any dysfunctions in the Internet network preventing the smooth unfolding/functioning of the
Contest;
● failures of any reception equipment or communications lines;
● the loss of any paper or electronic mail and more generally the loss of any data ;
● routing problems;
● the functioning of any software;
● the functioning of Facebook as well as for the consequences of the possible failure to comply
with the conditions for utilizing Facebook ;
● the consequences of any virus, computer bug, anomaly, technical failure;
● any damage caused to the computer by a contestant;
● any technical, material or software failure of any nature whatsoever which has prevented
or limited the possibility of taking part in the Contest or which has damaged a contestant’s
system;
● the intervention of any unauthorized third person.
It is up to each contestant to take all appropriate measures to protect her own data and/or software
stored on her computer equipment. Any person’s connection to the website and participation in the
Contest are the full responsibility of contestants alone.
MAJE’s liability shall not be incurred as a result of the foregoing and contestants can therefore claim
no damages or indemnification of any nature whatsoever.
MAJE reserves the right to cancel, halt, suspend, extend, shorten this Contest without notice on lawful
grounds, and in particular in the case of force majeure, and this without its being possible that it be
held liable therefor.
Any possible change in this Contest shall be posted, as the case may be, as are these regulations, at the
following address : http://Facebook.com/majeofficiel/
MAJE also specifies that this Contest is neither managed by, associated with nor sponsored by the
Facebook website and that therefore Facebook’s liability shall in no event be retained in the event of
litigation.
ARTICLE 9 – REIMBURSEMENT OF COSTS OF PARTICIPATION IN CONTEST
No financial consideration, or expenses in any form whatsoever, shall be claimed of contestants as a
result of their participation.
On simple written request to MAJE (located at 24, rue du mail – 75002 PARIS) sent no more than
8 days following the end of the Contest (as testified to by the postmark), contestants may obtain
reimbursement of:
● the costs of connection borne in order to participate in this Contest, on the basis of a flat fee of
0.56 € incl. tax, upon production of vouchers ;
● the postal costs incurred for said request for reimbursement, on the basis of the slow rate in
force.
A single request for reimbursement can be presented per mailing, and per person. The connection
costs linked to participation in the Contest shall be reimbursed by bank transfer following a simple

written request accompanied by proof of identity (last name, first name), a telephone bill indicating
a variable fee for Internet access, proof of domicile issued within the last 6 months as well as a bank
account identification document.
However, access to the site on a free-of-charge or paying basis (via a cable, ADSL, Wi-Fi or
specialized liaison, etc.) cannot be reimbursed inasmuch that the connection to the Contest site has
cost the contestant no specific expense or disbursement..
The costs of photocopying proof of domicile and the operator’s invoice shall be reimbursed for the
amount of 0.10 centimes per photocopy.
ARTICLE 10 – USE OF PERSONAL DATA 
Nominative data gathered in the context of the Contest are processed by computer in accordance with
the law of January 6, 1978 amended by the Law of August 6, 2004 for the purposes of the proper
management of the Contest and of informing winners. These data are necessary for processing and for
participating in this Contest and are intended exclusively for MAJE.
In accordance with the Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, contestants have a right to access and
modify, rectify and delete personal data concerning them. To do so, they shall merely submit a written
request to MAJE by mail, at 24 rue du Mail, 75002 PARIS.
In accordance with the regulations in force, your request must be signed and accompanied by the
photocopy of your ID bearing your signature, and specify the address to which the reply must be sent
to you. A reply will then be sent to you within 2 months following receipt of the request.
ARTICLE 11 – PUBLICATION AND FILING OF THE REGULATIONS
The regulations have been filed in the offices of SCP VENEZIA-LAVAL-LODIEU-QUILLET ,
Esquire, Court Bailiff at NEUILLY SUR SEINE (92200).

The stamp(s) used to request the regulations shall be reimbursed at the slow rate in force, following a

All disputes or complaints concerning the Contest shall be addressed in writing within a period of one

ARTICLE 12 – JURISDICTION AND GOVERNING LAW

In the event of a dispute in which the parties cannot reach an amicable settlement, jurisdiction is
granted to the PARIS COURTS regardless of the defendant’s domicile, even in the event of an
impleader, interim proceedings or multiple defendants..
This Contest is governed by French law.
